Sri Lanka, Sept. 19 -- Spa owners have called for expediting the legalization and regulating of their business so that it would become an official industry in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka Spa Owners Association Prasanna Munasinghe told media that they have handed over all documents needed to legalize and regulate spas in the country but the legalization process is being delayed.
"We only employ trained therapists who possess licences. We don't generally employee women against their will. We would also like to state that a training course for spa therapists is being carried out together with Sri Lanka Foundation Institute while courses are being conducted outside Colombo as well," he said.
