Srilanka, Feb. 21 -- Some photographs shared on social media of the Hultfsdorp shooting suspect are not real and have been edited using AI technology, Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala said today.

The Minister told this in Parliament while responding to a question by MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake.

The MP said some photos shared on social media and some mainstream media of the suspect during his arrest in a van showed that he was in a relaxed mood and being treated in a friendly manner by the security personnel.

The Minister said some photos had been edited using AI technology and told the MP to be aware of AI.
