Sri Lanka, June 25 -- A group of solar power generators has filed a writ petition before the Court of Appeal challenging the government's decision to reduce the tariff paid per unit of electricity generated by rooftop solar panels.

When the petition was taken up before Justice K. Priyantha Fernando, the matter was fixed for support on August 4.

The petitioners are seeking an order to quash the Cabinet decision to revise the tariff paid for electricity generated through rooftop solar panels.
