Sri Lanka, Sept. 5 -- The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) has deployed a MI-17 helicopter at the SLAF Combat Training School in Diyatalawa and a Bell 412 helicopter at SLAF Station Weerawila to support rescue operations following last night's bus accident on the Ella-Wellawaya road.

According to the SLAF, the aircraft remain on standby to airlift critically injured patients to Colombo or provide assistance in any emergency rescue requirements.
