Colombo, March 19 -- The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is expected to handover nominations for Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte Municipal Council today, a candidate Chamith Wijesundara said.

Wijesundara said his party will campaign under the theme 'Handover Kotte to a youth'.

"Our party had fielded mostly young candidates including me in line with this theme," he said.

"I am the youngest candidate among those who are contesting for the Kotte Municipal Council," he added.

He said the SJB will contest for the Kotte Municipal Council alone under the telephone symbol.

"The SJB has decided to go it alone as talks on contesting together with the UNP has failed," he added.
