Sri Lanka, Feb. 12 -- Allies of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) are free to do anything on their own in order to maintain their identities, MP S.M. Marikkar said today.

"There are a number of parties who have become allies of the SJB. MP Mano Ganesan has his own party and so do a number of others. They are free to do whatever they want to maintain their party identities," Marikkar said.

He made this remark at a media briefing in response to a question raised by journalists as to whether MP Dayasiri Jayasekera, who contested the General Election 2024 under the SJB ticket is going on his own.
