Colombo, Nov. 22 -- Police confirmed that rescue efforts at the Pahala Kadugannawa landslide site have now concluded, with six bodies recovered from the debris.
According to reports, four individuals who sustained injuries during the incident were successfully rescued and rushed to hospital for treatment.
Search and recovery teams, including police, emergency responders and local volunteers, worked through challenging conditions to locate the victims and secure the area.
Authorities said all known individuals affected by the landslide have now been accounted for.
Further investigations into the cause of the landslide are underway.
