Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- Shiranthi Rajapaksa, the wife of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, arrived at the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) this morning to record a statement regarding alleged financial irregularities linked to the Siriliya funds.
She had earlier been summoned to appear before the FCID on 27 January 2026. However, through her legal counsel, she informed the authorities that she was unable to attend on that date and requested a two-week extension.
