Sri Lanka, Dec. 1 -- A security manager at the Taj Samudra hotel in Colombo was arrested yesterday for allegedly assaulting trainee hotel students, police said.
The arrest was made after a complaint was lodged at the Colombo Fort Police Station.
A video circulating on social media shows the security manager slapping two trainees inside a room, after instructing another individual to close the door. The footage also depicts the manager speaking to the trainees in an abusive manner, warning them to keep their hands down while they attempted to explain the situation. Moments later, he is seen calling one of the trainees closer before abruptly slapping him and demanding silence.
Police said further investigations are underway.
