Colombo, Oct. 6 -- The government is prepared to provide security to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa if he informs the authorities after assessing his security needs and the threats he faces, Labour Deputy Minister Mahinda Jayasinghe said.
Addressing the media, the Deputy Minister said the government had already assured the former president that there would be no issue in providing security once an assessment of the situation is made.
