Sri Lanka, Nov. 20 -- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa today urged Speaker Jagath Wickremerathna to ensure that Members of Parliament are protected from snakes that enter Parliament.

The Opposition Leader told Parliament that he heard that a snake had entered the Speaker's room in Parliament and said that the Speaker and the MPs must be protected from snakes that enter Parliament.

He said snakes enter parliament as it is situated in an environmentally sensitive zone.
