New Delhi, Sept. 4 -- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has not been summoned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), according to Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Harshana Rajakaruna.

"I asked Premadasa about reports claiming he had been summoned by the CID to record a statement regarding the alleged use of public funds to renovate the UNP headquarters Sirikotha during his tenure as Housing Minister. He informed me that the CID has not contacted him at all. The situation is becoming quite mysterious," MP Rajakaruna told the media.

When asked about reports suggesting that a senior SJB figure from the Gampaha District is facing imminent arrest, Rajakaruna said he was unaware of any such developments.
