Srilanka, May 1 -- Both former President Ranil Wickremesinghe and the United National Party (UNP) are ready to back any positive moves taken by Sri Lankan authorities to resolve the US para tariff crisis, UNP Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene said today.
Wijewardene, who came up with this remark during a media conference, said no positive move seemed to be coming to resolve the para tariff issue.
"The Government has not taken any positive moves to address the para tariff issue. The jobs of more than one million people are at risk because of the 45 percent para tariff imposed by USA on Sri Lankan exports," he said.
