Sri Lanka, Nov. 28 -- The government has allocated Rs. 1.2 billion (one point two billion rupees) for disaster relief services, officials confirmed.
In addition, the President has instructed all Government Agents-through the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Home Affairs-to request any additional funds needed to support emergency response operations.
Furthermore, arrangements have been made to hold an online discussion between the President and all Government Agents at 9.00 a.m. today to review the current situation and coordinate relief efforts.
