Colombo, March 6 -- Principal of Royal College Colombo L.W.K. Silva tendered an apology for the misbehaviour of several children of his school yesterday.
In a statement, he assured remedial measures to ensure that similar incidents will not be repeated in the future.
The following is the full text of the statement:
I have become aware of an incident that took place during the Royal College Cycle Parade 2025. In a video recording sent to me, I observed a student engaging in conduct unbecoming of a student of Royal College. The student is seen carrying a wooden cross, a defining symbol of the Christian faith, and handling it without due deference.
