Sri Lanka, Sept. 15 -- The renovation of the Pettah Central Bus Stand has officially commenced under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Originally constructed in 1964, the station is undergoing major upgrades for the first time in 60 years. The project is expected to cost Rs. 424 million.
As part of the renovations, the facility will be equipped with modern amenities, including new restrooms, information and communication stations, enhanced security systems, and other key infrastructure improvements aimed at improving commuter experience.
