New Delhi, Sept. 4 -- Director of the Ratnapura Teaching Hospital, Dr. Imesh Prathapasinghe, has been transferred following allegations of authoritarian conduct, which triggered a two-day strike by doctors at the hospital.
According to the Health Ministry, a complaint filed by a journalist regarding the hospital's administration, along with several other complaints submitted by staff, patients, and the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA), had been referred to the ministry by the President's Office.
The ministry's Emergency Raids Division has already launched a preliminary investigation into the allegations.
