Sri Lanka, Sept. 9 -- Former Fisheries Minister Rajitha Senaratne was released on bail in connection with the alleged misappropriation of state funds through a sand mining project at the Kirinda Fisheries Harbour.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama granted bail on a cash bail of Rs. 50,000 and three sureties of 2 million each. The magistrate also imposed a foreign travel ban on Senaratne.
