Sri Lanka, Nov. 6 -- The strike of work by the University Teachers' Association of Rajarata University reached the seventh day yesterday much to the anxiety of the students.
This has resulted in a standstill of all academic activities of the university and the administration to a certain extent.
President of the association Nalaka Geekiyange said they had taken up the prevailing crisis in the University with Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriyia and that she gave an undertaking to resolve the issue regarding the appointment of a Vice Chancellor.
