Sri Lanka, Jan. 14 -- The Department of Meteorology announced that a reduction in rainfall across the island can be expected from tomorrow (15).
According to the department, light rain may occur in parts of the Uva, Eastern and Central Provinces. Showers or thundershowers are also likely at a few places in the Western Province and in the Galle, Matara and Ratnapura districts after about 2.00 p.m. today.
Most other areas of the country are expected to experience mainly dry weather conditions.
The Department of Meteorology has urged the public to take necessary precautions to reduce possible damage caused by temporary strong winds and lightning associated with thundershowers.
