Colombo, April 21 -- The Kandy Municipal Council has introduced a new QR code-based system to streamline waste management in the city during the special exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
Public Health Inspectors (PHIs) said that residents can scan QR codes placed around the city to report garbage or food-related issues. They added that actions related to garbage complaints are taken within 10 minutes.
Additionally, all street vendors have been registered and issued identity cards containing QR codes to ensure proper regulation and hygiene standards.
