Sri Lanka, Sept. 9 -- The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) announced that it will seek public opinion on the electricity tariff revision proposed by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) for the final quarter of 2025.

According to the PUCSL, the CEB has proposed a 6.8% increase in tariffs. The Commission has invited the public to submit their comments and proposals in writing by October 7, 2025.

In addition to written submissions, the PUCSL will hold nine public consultation sessions across all provinces, providing citizens the opportunity to present their views orally.
