Sri Lanka, Nov. 11 -- Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne said an investigation will be conducted by the office of the Secretary General of Parliament regarding the use of unparliamentary language used by some MPs during yesterday's sessions.
The Speaker said this while responding to a question raised by MP Ramanathan Archchuna under Standing Order 82.1 claiming that the MPs who used unparliamentary language must make an apology.
The Speaker said such words used by the MPs have been expunged from the Hansard and said that he instructed the office of the Secretary General of Parliament to investigate into the use of unparliamentary language during yesterday's sessions.
