Sri Lanka, Nov. 21 -- Pro-government groups have hung bundles of grass in several areas around Dehiwala and Kohuwala, claiming that "only buffaloes" will attend the Joint Opposition public rally scheduled to be held in Nugegoda today.
Responding to the incident, SLPP National Organizer Namal Rajapaksa said that such acts, along with the removal of loudspeakers set up near the rally venue, would not weaken the party.
Quoting the Buddha, he added, "If we do not accept what they give, they can accept it and enjoy it themselves."
