Sri Lanka, Nov. 7 -- The North Central Provincial Education Director has decided to suspend the principal who was arrested with a large stock of heroin.
In a letter to the principal, the Director said that, based on information from the Anuradhapura Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau, the suspect has violated provisions of the Establishments Code. Therefore, steps have been taken to suspend him from service with immediate effect.
The principal, who is the husband of a municipal councillor representing the National People's Party, was recently arrested with 1 kilogram and 118 grams of heroin.
