Srilanka, May 7 -- Former State Minister Prasanna Ranaweera, who had been evading arrest, surrendered to the Mahara Magistrate's Court today.
An open warrant was issued on Monday by Mahara Magistrate Kanchana de Silva for his immediate arrest after he failed to appear before court.
Ranaweera is accused of preparing forged documents related to a land in Kiribathgoda, which had been vested with the government for development purposes.
