Sri Lanka, March 29 -- A brief power outage occurred during a meeting attended by the Minister of Power and Energy, Kumara Jayakody in Jaffna today.

The Power and Energy Minister delivered a speech, assuring that electricity will be provided 24 hours a day in Jaffna, and shortly after he finished his speech, the power disruption occurred.

The incident happened during a special discussion organized by the Engineers' Division of the National Intellectuals Organization at a private guesthouse in Jaffna this evening.

The power outage occurred while the Deputy Minister of Digital Economy, Eranga Weeraratne, was delivering a speech and it briefly disrupted the event. Afterward, power was restored.
