Sri Lanka, Aug. 28 -- The Maligakanda magistrate informed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) that permission can be granted to examine CCTV footages of the National Hospital, Colombo if needed in the investigation into the social media posts which claimed that Prime Minister Harirni Amarasuriya visited former President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the hospital.

Magistrate Lochani Abeywickrama ordered the CID to record statements from Prime Minister Amarasuriya and her security personnel.
