Srilanka, March 21 -- Kalutara South Police are investigating into an incident where a man allegedly chopped off a friend's finger during a drinking session.
The victim, identified as 25-year-old Manikkaratne Susil Suranga, a resident of Remunagoda, Kalutara, filed a complaint regarding the incident, which occurred on March 6, but was reported to the police only on March 20.
According to the complaint, the victim had gone to a friend's home to drink alcohol, where another acquaintance had later joined them. During the gathering, an argument broke out when one of them slapped the other, prompting a retaliatory slap.
