Srilanka, March 9 -- Nine Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP), including the director of the Bribery Commission and 28 Police OICs, have been transferred with immediate effect.

Police said the transfers were made as per the approval of the National Police Commission.

Accordingly, transfers have been given to the Director of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) SSP A.H.N Asanka, R.G.A.B Gunathilake, K. K.K Gunasekara, A.A.R.P. Amarasinghe and N.R.H.P Gunasekara.

Police said four SSPs have been appointed to the posts of Acting deputy inspectors general of police (DIGs) with immediate effect.
