Srilanka, May 10 -- Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya has taken action to ensure a swift and impartial investigation into the recent death of a child in Kotahena, following growing public concern over the handling of the case.
A high-level meeting was held today at the Prime Minister's Office, bringing together the police investigation team and the grieving parents of the deceased child. The Prime Minister personally chaired the meeting and issued firm instructions for an accurate and unbiased inquiry into the incidents that allegedly took place both at the child's school and at a tuition class.
