Sri Lanka, Feb. 5 -- Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa engaged in a verbal clash in Parliament today over issues pertaining to education.
The issues of seeking financial help from parents to purchase smart boards and the closure of the Facilty of Post Graduate Studies at the Wickramarachchi University led to this clash.
The Opposition Leader alleged that some schools, both in the outstations and Colombo, have collected funds from parents to purchase smart boards. He also questioned the closure of the Faculty of Post Graduate Studies of the Wickramarachchi University.
