Sri Lanka, May 29 -- The Public Health Inspectors' (PHI) Union annouced that all dansals planned for the upcoming poson week must be register by June 7.

PHIU secretary Chamil Muthukuda said that Public Health Inspectors will provide health guidelines to prevent the spread of diseases, especially given the current rainy conditions and unregistered dansals will be prohibited.

The registrations should be completed with the nearest Medical Health Officer.

A significant number of dansals are expected in areas such as Anuradhapura, Mihintale, Polonnaruwa, Kurunegala and the suburbs of Colombo. PHIs will be deployed nationwide to inspect these events and ensure compliance with health standards.
