Sri Lanka, July 16 -- The Committee on Public Finance (COPF) has successfully tested the Google AI integration system to prepare the Hansard, its Chairman Harsha de Silva said.
The system is to be used for transcribing voice records into text.
"We're thrilled to share COPF's pilot testing of @Google's AI integration by FinetechHQ to modernise Parliament's century-old, handwritten Hansard and meeting minutes system. Overburdened transcribers faced days of delay across more than ten committees. Now, AI can deliver instant minutes, verbatim records and action points, revolutionising efficiency. Kudos to the team," Dr. de Silva said on X.
