Srilanka, Feb. 19 -- Opposition MPs raised concerns over the shooting incident in the Hulftsdorp Court complex this morning, claiming that murders have escalated in the country putting peoples' lives at risk.

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa told Parliament that it is a serious situation if an individual's life is at risk even inside the court.

Premadasa said killings take place daily and stressed the need to have an immediate solution to resolve the issue.

He said the government must take stern action to ensure law and order in the country and that the Opposition is ready to support the government in taking action over the matter.
