Srilanka, Feb. 11 -- As part of Exercise AMAN-25 currently underway in Karachi, Pakistan, the host country's Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf visited ships of foreign navies including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Iran, the UAE and USA.
Admiral Ashraf was welcomed by traditional Kandyan dance item performed by cadets of Sri Lanka Navy. He was received by Commander of the Northern Naval area Rear Admiral Thushara Karunathunga, Commanding Officer of SLNS Vijayabahu Captain Nalin Gonagala and Sri Lanka Defence Attache to Pakistan Colonel Kaminda Silva. A crew of over 100 naval officers had travelled from Colombo to Pakistan via sea to participate at this multinational maritime exercise.
