Sri Lanka, July 5 -- Pada Yatra journey on foot to attend Kataragama Maha Devala festival ended yesterday with the closureof the main entrance in Kumana National Park.

Eastern Province Asst. Director, Wildlife Conservation Prashantha Wimaladasa said the main entrance Kumana National Park had opened on June 20 for the Pada Yatra pilgrims from the North and East.

He said 34,612 pilgrims had journeyed through Kumana National Park since that date.
