Sri Lanka, Dec. 2 -- UNICEF Sri Lanka has warned that more than 275,000 children have been affected by the devastating Cyclone Ditwah, which struck the East Coast on 28 November.
The cyclone triggered widespread flooding and landslides, leaving children across the country facing an urgent humanitarian crisis. With communications disrupted and many areas inaccessible, the actual number of affected children may be significantly higher.
"UNICEF remains deeply concerned about the destruction the cyclone has caused to children and the vital services they depend on for their safety and well-being.
