Sri Lanka, Jan. 28 -- A total of 223,645 tourists arrived in the country during the first 25 days of the year, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
The SLTDA said that India, the United Kingdom, the Russian Federation, Germany, France, China, and Australia were among the top source markets contributing to tourist arrivals during the period.
Tourist arrivals peaked on January 15, recording the highest single-day arrival figure of 10,483 visitors.
Meanwhile, India emerged as the leading source market, with 41,603 tourists visiting Sri Lanka so far this year, marking the highest number of arrivals from any single country.
