Sri Lanka, June 18 -- A total of 23 people were injured following a head-on collision between a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus and a lorry at Minnana Junction in Eheliyagoda this morning.

Police said the accident occurred along the Ratnapura-Avissawella Road at a bend in the area.

Among the injured are 9 women and 14 men, with two individuals reported to be in critical condition.

Both drivers of the bus and lorry were also among those injured in the incident, according to the Police.

Investigations into the accident are currently underway.
