Sri Lanka, Dec. 23 -- Despite critical weather conditions in the country, Sri Lanka recorded 154,609 tourist arrivals in just 21 days this December.

According to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), the total tourist arrivals for the year have reached 2,258,202 so far.

India, Germany, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, Australia and China have been identified as the top source markets contributing to this year's influx.

India topped the list with 510,133 tourist arrivals in 2025.

Authorities expect this positive trend to continue in the coming weeks, giving a further boost to the country's recovering tourism sector.
