Sri Lanka, Nov. 24 -- A total of 1,038 suspects have been arrested during 1,038 anti-drug raids carried out across the country today under the ongoing 'Nation Together' national operation, police said.

According to police, 23 individuals have been referred for rehabilitation following the raids.

The operations led to the seizure of 517 grams of heroin in 313 raids, while 798 grams of ICE (crystal methamphetamine) were recovered in 384 separate operations.

Meanwhile, 1 kg and 877 grams of cannabis, along with 76,114 cannabis plants, were discovered during 276 raids targeting cannabis cultivation and trafficking.

Police said the crackdown will continue as part of efforts to curb the rising drug menace across the island.
