Sri Lanka, Feb. 19 -- Opposition MP Ajith P. Perera called for an adjournment debate on former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.

MP Perera told the Daily Mirror that he had handed over the motion to the Secretary General's office.

The MP urged the government to speak on behalf of former Premier Khan.

Also, the MP asked the government to urge the Pakistani government to ensure the former Prime Minister is taken care of.

The motion is expected to be debated during the next Parliamentary week.
