Sri Lanka, July 21 -- One person has died and 33 individuals from nine families have been affected in the Kalutara and Ratnapura districts following incidents caused by high winds and falling trees, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) reported.
According to the latest situation report, the fatality was reported from Beruwala, where a person went missing at sea and was later confirmed dead.
The DMC also said that eight homes suffered partial damage, while one house was completely destroyed due to the severe weather conditions. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation and provide necessary assistance to those impacted.
