Srilanka, May 6 -- The National People's Power (NPP) has recorded victories in the both the Hambantota Pradeshiya Sabha and the Hikkaduwa Urban Council.
In the Hambantota Pradeshiya Sabha (Hambantota District), the NPP emerged as the leading party with 9,236 votes, securing 8 seats. The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) followed with 5,349 votes and 4 seats, while the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) obtained 3,091 votes and 2 seats. The 'Sarvajana Balaya' (SB) managed to secure 812 votes and 1 seat.
Meanwhile, in the Hikkaduwa Urban Council (Galle District), the NPP claimed victory with 6,133 votes, earning 9 seats. The SJB followed with 3,159 votes (4 seats), and SLPP with 1,820 votes (2 seats). SB secured 1,487 votes (2 seats), while t...
