Sri Lanka, Feb. 7 -- Colombo, February 7 (Daily Mirror) - Despite past criticism of politicisation of the Sri Lanka Foreign Service, the National People's Power (NPP) government is in the process of making political appointments to head key Sri Lankan missions abroad, Daily Mirror learns.

After President Anura Kumara Dissanayake took office last year, the Foreign Affairs Ministry recalled all the politically appointed heads of Sri Lankan missions except Mr. Mahinda Samarasinghe who continues to serve as the Ambassador to the United States.
