Srilanka, May 7 -- The National People's Power (NPP) has been unable to secure an absolute majority at the Colombo Municipal Council, the largest municipality of Sri Lanka, according to a post on X by Opposition MP Mujibur Rahman.
It means the Opposition, if united, can bar the NPP from taking charge of the municipality.
