Sri Lanka, Jan. 6 -- It is not ethical for Subject Minister of Education Harini Amarasuriya to be forced to resign based on a defect in a single word of a module, Cabinet Spokesman Minister Nalinda Jayatisa said today.

He told the weekly briefing to announce Cabinet decisions that the Subject Minister should resign if there had been defects in the educational reforms or the proposed reforms are against the country and students.

The Minister said if the educational reforms are correct, the government or the subject ministry must not take responsibility and resign based on a single word in a module.
