Sri Lanka, July 6 -- The Sri Lanka Railways Department has announced that the intercity express train operating on the Northern Line during weekends will now run daily starting tomorrow (July 7), following numerous requests from commuters.

Accordingly, Train No. 4021 will operate between Mount Lavinia and Kankesanthurai (KKS) every day. The train is scheduled to depart from Mount Lavinia at 5:15 a.m. and arrive in KKS at 12:13 p.m. It will make the return journey from KKS at 1:50 p.m., reaching Mount Lavinia at 8:58 p.m.
