Sri Lanka, Sept. 1 -- The National Transport Commission (NTC) today announced that bus fares will remain unchanged despite the latest reduction in fuel prices.

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) yesterday revised fuel prices reducing Petrol Octane 92 by Rs. 6.

Meanwhile, the price of Lanka Super Diesel 4 Star Euro 4 was slashed by Rs. 12, with the new price set at Rs. 313 per litre while Lanka Auto Diesel saw a reduction of Rs. 6, lowering the price to Rs. 283 per litre.

Despite these downward revisions, the NTC confirmed that bus fares will not be adjusted.
